On May 1st, Dr. James H. Lubowitz of Taos, NM was named as the new Editor in Chief of Arthroscopy: The Journal of Arthroscopic and Related Surgery. This journal is the premier source, nation- and worldwide, for relevant, correct and current research on topics related to arthroscopy and orthopedic sports medicine. Dr. Wilson congratulates him on this distinguished honor.
Dr. Lubowitz has been involved in orthopedic education throughout his career. He is the Founder and Director of the Taos Orthopedic Institute Sports Medicine Fellowship through which he has trained numerous young orthopedic surgeons in the latest arthroscopic surgical techniques. Dr. Wilson was a fellow of Dr. Lubowitz in 2012-2013. He spent a year working closely beside Dr. Lubowitz, learning from his years of experience and expertise. Dr. Lubowitz has developed cutting edge techniques for ACL reconstruction and other knee surgeries. Dr. Wilson was fortunate to have had the opportunity to learn these techniques from his mentor and is now offering those same innovative treatments in East Alabama.
Dr. Lubowitz has been committed to educating surgeons, fellows and patients throughout his career. His attention to detail and clinical success allowed Holy Cross Hospital in Taos, NM, where he works and Dr. Wilson also trained, to be ranked in the top 25 hospitals in the country for ACL surgery.
